Word of Life Christian Academy and its staff highly recommend that students in 10th take the ACT at least once. Most students tend to be nervous the first time taking the test, so practice is important. Giving this early practice helps the student to know what is expected. Then the recommendation is to take it twice in the 11th and 12th grade to score as high as possible. Higher scores help with winning scholarships.

There are many places to practice the ACT test online. Books may also be purchased that have tips and practice tests. As a high school student, you receive a credit for 150 hours of test practice.

Students may register for the ACT online at act.org. Included on this site will be all the rules and the schedules for testing. Word of Life cannot register you for the test nor do we do testing at our facility.

To graduate with Word of Life Christian Academy on campus or as a homeschooler, your student must score a minimum of 19 on the ACT (or SAT equivalent), have an acceptance letter from a college, or make an acceptable score on an assessment test given at Word of Life Christian Academy.
