Notes to Candidates for Scholarships
- Deadline for scholarship application is at midnight on March 15, 2026. There are no exceptions. Submittance should be by email (as PDF) to wolcacademy@gmail.com or in person at Word of Life Christian Academy.
- Applying for a scholarship does not guarantee a scholarship.
- Prior to scholarship application acceptance, the Word of Life Christian Academy Registration form or online registration and registration fee must be submitted. If you are a new student, your Pastor must submit your Pastoral Reference Form by March 15, 2026.
- The amount and number of scholarships will vary from year-to-year.
- Scholarships are awarded based upon financial need, family and student character, essay, and availability.
- The winners of all scholarships will be awarded by a scholarship committee which may change from year-to-year or by scholarship type.
- All scholarship winners will be required to be in good standing with the Word of Life Christian Academy and staff or scholarship funds may be revoked. Areas of good standing:
- Attendance
- Grades
- Completion of required PACE work
- Christ-like character
- Scholarship funds will be released to WOLCA each quarter after evaluation of previous quarter’s participation in the good standing categories and after evaluation of payments for any tuition and fees not covered by the scholarship.
- If scholarship is revoked, parent must assume the remaining balance of tuition and fees that were covered by the scholarship. Administration will notify you within five days of the new quarter if your student’s funds have been revoked. Parent will have 10 days after notification to pay tuition and fees for that month. Notification may be by telephone, email, in-person, or mail.
- Not all scholarships will be for full tuition and fee amounts. Repeated book, testing, graduation, high school prom, or field trip fees are not payable by scholarship funds. Scholarships only cover the cost of tuition. Parents must make any remaining tuition and additional fee payments in a timely manner.
- Scholarships will be for the 2026-2027 school year and are not transferable to any other school year or facility/school.
- Candidates will be notified by May 30, 2026 of acceptance or denial.
- All scholarship applications must be filled out by a parent.
- The student, (ages 10-18) for whom the scholarship application is for, must submit an essay with the application. Parents may check essays for errors but not write them. Each essay should be 150-250 words in length, printed or typed. The student (ages 5-9) is not required to submit an essay. Remember to be specific and personal. Include as much information as possible and be neat. The essay should be on one of the following topics:
- Why I am a good Candidate for this scholarship
- How I will apply myself to my studies to earn my scholarship
- A personal experience that ignited my academic aspirations
- A defining moment that shaped my goals
- Word of Life Christian Academy is a Christ centered education facility. All candidates will be held to strict Christian standards.
- These rules may be subject to change as the Scholarship committee and Word of Life Christian Academy Administration deems necessary.
- Any questions or concerns may be addressed to the Word of Life Christian Academy Administrator.
- All information on the application and any academic records submitted to the committee will be held in strict confidence.
- Any student attending or planning on attending Word of Life Christian Academy, is eligible to submit an application.
