State laws regulate the standards for graduating in Tennessee.  However, Word of Life Christian Academy requires higher standards than the state requirements.  A student must be registered with WOLCA at least six months prior to graduating and a completion of at least 22 credit hours for general diploma or 23 credit hours for college prep diploma.  The college prep diploma requires a satisfactory testing score (ACT of 20 or higher, SAT 1020-1050 or higher, WOLCA comprehensive testing score as approved by administrator, or acceptance into any college).

A high school credit consists of at least 150 classroom hours (50 minute class X 180 days). A student may only earn three (3) total credits in 7th and 8th grade combined with prior approval*. The maximum number of credits a high school student can earn in a year is eight (8).
